Job Description

Make a significant impact supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder across a vibrant district near Portland, OR. This contract-based role is ideal for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with proven school-based experience, eager to serve diverse learners from kindergarten through age 21 within an ASD program. Working 37.5 hours per week, you will engage as an itinerant specialist, crafting meaningful lessons and interventions to support student growth and school inclusion.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current BCBA certification and relevant school-based experience
  • Expertise in planning and delivering research-driven instruction for students with ASD, Aspergers, or high-functioning autism
  • Skilled in assessment and interpretation, behavior data collection, and development of individualized behavior support plans
  • Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, including discrete trial teaching, pivotal response training, and functional routines
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delivering staff/parent training, and contributing to IEP creation
  • Familiarity with adapting general and special education curriculum for varied learning needs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and family partnership skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and adapt curriculum and instructional activities across multiple settings for students with ASD
  • Administer a range of assessments, generate behavioral data, and create responsive plans based on student needs
  • Provide direct behavioral intervention, facilitate social skills instruction, and promote student independence
  • Support and coach fellow educators in implementing effective strategies within inclusive classrooms
  • Lead trainings for staff, parents, and service providers (format may include 1:1, group, or workshops)
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team processes
  • Partner with community agencies to connect families with resources
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies
