Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) eager to apply expertise in a school for the blind serving students from kindergarten through grade 12.

To thrive in this setting, candidates will need:

  • Active Maryland BCBA licensure
  • Previous experience working as a BCBA, preferably in a K-12 or specialized school environment
  • Strong understanding of functional behavior assessments and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and administrators
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Flexibility, patience, and a compassionate approach suited for students with visual impairments

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting behavioral assessments and developing individualized behavior intervention plans for students
  • Providing direct and consultative behavioral support tailored to the needs of students who are blind or visually impaired
  • Training staff and caregivers in effective behavior management strategies
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
  • Keeping detailed records and collaborating closely with educational staff, families, and related service providers
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
