Job Description
Take your experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to the next level by working with elementary and middle school students in an engaging, supportive educational environment. A contract opportunity is available near Melrose Park, IL, serving students with a variety of needs across multiple schools for the academic year, August through June. Youll make an immediate impact by collaborating with dedicated teams, working in programs that focus on both low incidence and resource support.
Key Qualifications:
- BCBA certification required
- Illinois Special Education (LBS1) license is a must
- Experience supporting elementary and middle school students, particularly in special education settings
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
- Ready for 37.5 hours per week, with scheduling based on school hours for both elementary and middle school sites
Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and consultative support
- Collaborate closely with teachers in the STARS program (low incidence) and with resource teams at both elementary and middle schools
- Design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collect and analyze data to inform interventions and monitor student progress
- Offer training and support to staff and caregivers
- Participate in IEP meetings as a vital member of the student support team
