Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Previous experience working in a school or educational environment strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practical application
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral intervention plans
- Commitment to supporting diverse populations and varying student needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and create individualized intervention and support plans for students
- Consult with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure effective plan implementation
- Monitor, collect data on, and adjust behavior strategies as necessary to promote progress
- Train and guide school personnel on ABA techniques, de-escalation strategies, and behavior management
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Provide support and recommendations for classroom management and inclusive practices
