Qualifications and Desired Background:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational environment strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practical application
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement effective behavioral intervention plans
  • Commitment to supporting diverse populations and varying student needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral assessments and create individualized intervention and support plans for students
  • Consult with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure effective plan implementation
  • Monitor, collect data on, and adjust behavior strategies as necessary to promote progress
  • Train and guide school personnel on ABA techniques, de-escalation strategies, and behavior management
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Provide support and recommendations for classroom management and inclusive practices
