We are seeking a dedicated professionalSpecial Education Teacher or BCBAto work within an intensive needs program, serving students in PreK-2nd grade. Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification, preferably with severe licensure
- Direct experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for early childhood special education
- Background or licensure as a BCBA (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to collaborate with educational staff, therapists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Employ specialized instructional techniques and communication supports
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in IEP meetings, and provide regular updates to families
- Utilize data-driven methods to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
