Job Description

This full-time position is ideal for a skilled Special Education Teacher or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who excels in supporting students with complex educational needs. Youll play a pivotal role in fostering growth for PreK-2nd grade students with autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for PreK-2 intensive needs classrooms
  • Implement and monitor IEPs while adapting teaching to varied communication and learning profiles
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including paraprofessionals and therapists, to optimize student outcomes
  • Utilize and model best practices for using AAC devices and alternate communication strategies throughout the school day
  • Maintain organized records, track student progress, and communicate regularly with families and caregivers
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity when addressing behavioral and academic challenges

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification (severe or moderate disabilities preferred)
  • Experience teaching or consulting in settings for students with significant disabilities, autism, or developmental delays
  • Strong working knowledge of AAC devices and strategies for limited verbal communicators
  • Familiarity with evidence-based teaching and behavior management practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; open to BCBAs with relevant classroom experience

Compensation for this position ranges from $43.00 to $57.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
