Exciting opportunity available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to impact young learners in a supportive and diverse school setting in Somerville, MA. This full-time contract position is dedicated to serving preschool and kindergarten students (ages 36) within both public and community partner classrooms. The role supports the districts robust ASD program, focused on fostering curiosity, respect, and self-worth among all students. Work in an inclusive environment where every childs intellectual, social, and emotional development is prioritized.
Key Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification with current MA licensure
- Experience working with early childhood populations, especially those on the autism spectrum
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators, families, and support staff
- Background in behavior assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred; familiarity with public school systems a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct and consultative services to teachers and support teams across preschool and kindergarten ASD classrooms
- Support implementation of ABA strategies and data-driven interventions
- Train, coach, and mentor educational staff and paraprofessionals in ABA methodologies
- Monitor student progress, adjust plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation
- Serve as a collaborative member of the special education team, contributing to IEP development and family support
This position runs through June, with an immediate start available. Scheduled hours are approximately 7:45 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
