Ready to make a meaningful impact in a school setting as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)? A district near Lehighton, PA has an exciting contract opportunity for the upcoming school year. This is a unique chance to shape a brand-new BCBA program, collaborating closely with educators and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
As the districts first BCBA, youll split your time across three school sites, engaging with both general education and special education populations. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting students, promoting positive behavioral outcomes, and building capacity among staff through collaboration and consultation.
Key Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification required.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Strong background in data-driven practices and behavioral assessment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build partnerships with teachers, psychologists, and support staff.
- Ability to provide a redacted Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) sample and professional references as part of the application process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral observations and Functional Behavior Assessments throughout the district, including in emotional support classrooms.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Deliver direct services to students and model effective interventions for both general and special education settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings as a behavioral expert.
- Collaborate with school psychologists, teachers, and other team members to maximize student potential.
This on-site, full-time position (37-40 hours per week) allows you to be present at each of the districts three school locations, ensuring comprehensive support across all learning environments.
