Job Description

This contract opportunity is conveniently located near Jersey City, NJ, with part-time hours based in Matawan, offering a manageable 25-hour workweek ideal for maintaining work-life balance.

You will work directly with an elementary caseload of students in grades 1-4 who present with mild to moderate disabilities. Your support will help foster academic and personal growth for these young learners.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid BCBA certification required
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
  • Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis, functional behavior assessments, and intervention implementation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and therapists
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Previous experience supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct behavioral assessments and create individualized behavior intervention plans for students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Provide direct and consultative support to staff and teachers, ensuring adherence to best ABA practices
  • Offer guidance to RBTs, including direct supervision and feedback as needed
  • Collect and review data to inform instructional recommendations and monitor student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to multidisciplinary team decisions
  • Collaborate closely with families and staff to foster a holistic, supportive environment
