Job Description

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is needed for an early childhood center located in Independence, MO. This contract position aligns with the current school year schedule and offers approximately 21 hours per week.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments and writing detailed reports for early childhood students suspected of having disabilities. The role involves providing consultation and collaborative problem-solving to address behavioral challenges, as well as delivering direct services and developing goals for students who qualify for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Supervision will be provided by designated support staff such as paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).

Key qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) credential
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly in educational settings
  • Proven ability to conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills for effective consultation with educational staff and families
  • Ability to provide direct intervention services tailored to young learners with developmental delays or disabilities
