Job Description
A school district in Fort Smith, Arkansas is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position serves K12 students and focuses on developing and overseeing behavior intervention programs, supporting staff, and improving student outcomes through evidencebased practices. Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Oversee implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies across school settings
- Provide supervision and guidance to RBTs and paraprofessionals
- Monitor student progress through data collection, analysis, and ongoing plan adjustments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and support behaviorrelated goals and services
- Provide staff training and coaching on behavior management and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Ability to obtain or hold Arkansas licensure (if required)
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
Experience
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Experience developing and supervising behavior intervention programs strongly preferred
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavior analysis
- Excellent data collection, analysis, and reporting skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Work Hours
- MondayFriday
- 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
- Approximately 3740 hours per week
