Job Description

Make a significant impact by supporting students at a specialized school dedicated to serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This contract position for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) offers you the chance to provide expert behavioral support and guidance to children in kindergarten through 12th grade, five days a week, in a collaborative and enriching environment near Ellicott City and Nottingham, MD.

Qualifications:

  • Current BCBA licensure in the state of Maryland is required
  • Previous experience working in schools or with K-12 students preferred
  • Strong understanding of behavioral assessment, intervention planning, and data analysis
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans tailored to the needs of students who are blind or visually impaired
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to implement and monitor behavior support strategies
  • Provide direct and consultative services to support the educational and developmental goals of K-12 students
  • Train and support school staff in using behavioral techniques and strategies
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to ensure the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
