Step into an exciting opportunity to make a difference as a Behavior Intervention Specialist for the 20252026 school year. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate directly with a supportive special education team, working across multiple school sites to guide students toward positive behavioral outcomes. Enjoy varied days with hours typically from 8:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., supporting schools within a large, well-respected district.
Your expertise as a BCBA or Special Education Teacher will be essential in consulting with teams, implementing positive behavior interventions, and ensuring student growth. This is a full-time, onsite position beginning with a training week on August 25, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification or valid tier 3 or 4 Special Education teaching license
- Experience providing positive behavior interventions, conducting functional behavior assessments, and developing behavior support plans
- Strong collaboration skills and effective communication with diverse teams
- Ability to use data for programming, decision-making, and planning for student success
- Flexible thinking, adaptability, and calm crisis response skills
- Prepared to travel between 34 assigned school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Consult with school teams to design, implement, and monitor positive behavioral supports
- Reinforce positive behavior and utilize evidence-based de-escalation techniques
- Support and help develop individualized education plans
- Provide staff training on behavioral strategies and recommendations
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and compliant educational environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow district and state guidelines
- Assist with additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Special Education
