Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a contract position close to Edison and Matawan, NJ. In this part-time role, youll work 25 hours per week with elementary students in grades 1 through 4, focusing on mild to moderate disabilities. The position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance, and may also include supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current BCBA certification is required
- Experience supporting school-aged children, ideally within an elementary setting
- Familiarity with developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Knowledge of best practices for data collection and analysis to monitor student progress
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to supervise and mentor RBTs as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and create individualized intervention plans
- Work directly with students in grades 1-4, fostering positive behavioral and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to ensure consistency and fidelity in behavior strategies
- Train and provide oversight to RBTs working with students on your caseload
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform ongoing support and adjustments to interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress updates
