Job Description

Imagine making a direct impact in the lives of elementary and middle school students as a contract professional with experience as a BCBA, working within a supportive, collaborative school environment. This position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across elementary and middle grade levels, focusing on students with low-incidence needs and a range of disabilities.

Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and support as part of the STARS program for elementary students and resource teacher roles for both elementary and middle school levels. With a consistent weekday schedule, youll be fostering a positive learning experience and delivering targeted interventions that help every student reach their potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Special Education (LBS1) license (requirement)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential
  • Previous experience working with elementary and middle school age groups
  • Strong background supporting students with a variety of disabilities, including low-incidence diagnoses
  • Skills in behavior analysis, individualized instruction, and progress documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students unique needs
  • Implement evidence-based strategies and collect data on student progress
  • Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to create a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student plans
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with state and district requirements

This contract opportunity runs from August through June, aligning with the academic calendar and offering a steady, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
