This school-based contract role is ideal for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who thrives working with adolescents and collaborating with school teams to drive positive outcomes. Youll serve a high school in the vibrant Des Plaines, IL area, contributing your expertise one to two days per week during the 2024-2025 school year.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate endorsement
- Experience supporting high school-aged youth in educational or clinical settings
- Excellent communication and consultative skills
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop function-based intervention plans
- Provide ongoing consultation to school staff and stakeholders
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Offer training and support to school staff on behavior management approaches
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related staff
- Maintain compliance with state, district, and professional standards
