Job Description

Step into a collaborative and district-wide behavioral support role in the Chattanooga area for the 2026-2027 school year! As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will be based at the district office and play a vital role in supporting a network of 80 schools through a structured referral system. This contract position offers an engaging and well-supported environment, including regular partnership consults and a system designed to foster manageable caseloads.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA license required
  • Prior experience in a K-12 school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and data-analysis skills
  • Must complete fingerprint-based background check as part of credentialing

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the districts primary BCBA, responding to referrals across the school network
  • Assess, design, and implement behavior intervention plans for students in partnership with school staff
  • Work closely with the Vanderbilt Triad program, participating in monthly consults that enhance data collection and best practices
  • Utilize the districts established Help Desk process to streamline cases and prevent caseload overload
  • Provide targeted training, resources, and ongoing support for education staff and families
  • Maintain thorough records and consistent documentation in compliance with district and professional standards
  • Adjust your 7.5-hour workday (typically within 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM) according to varying school start times

This is a full-time, 35-hour-per-week contract opportunity, beginning August 5, 2026 and continuing through May 19, 2027. Your expertise will help shape positive student outcomes across a dynamic and supportive educational community.
