Job Description

You will work closely with students in PreK through 2nd grade, helping those with autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication thrive through tailored instruction and innovative supports.

What youll bring:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification, with severe needs licensure strongly preferred
  • Background as a Special Education Teacher or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Proven experience supporting students with autism and developmental delays
  • Comfort designing and adapting lessons for non-verbal students and those with limited communication skills
  • Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Strong collaboration skills for working alongside families, therapists, and educational teams
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address each students unique needs
  • Incorporate AAC devices and strategies to facilitate communication and engagement
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction
  • Collect data and monitor progress, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Collaborate with related service providers to ensure holistic student support
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates and strategies for continued growth
  • Create a classroom culture of respect, encouragement, and high expectations
