Job Description
A school district in Calabasas, California is seeking a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a fulltime, schoolbased contract. This position serves K12 students and focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention programs that support positive academic, social, and behavioral outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Provide consultation and behavioral support for students with a range of educational and behavioral needs
- Oversee the implementation of behavior intervention strategies across school settings
- Analyze behavioral data and make program adjustments to support student progress
- Provide training and ongoing support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Supervise and mentor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other behavioral support staff as applicable
- Collaborate with administrators, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and support behavior-related goals and services
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
Experience
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs strongly preferred
- Experience supervising behavioral support staff preferred
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Excellent data collection, analysis, and reporting skills
- Strong leadership and consultation abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Work Hours
- MondayFriday
- 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
- Approximately 3740 hours per week
