Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for MA is required
  • Severe needs licensure highly preferred for intensive programming
  • Background working with PreK2 students
  • Experience supporting children with autism, developmental delays, or other complex needs
  • Skilled in using AAC devices to facilitate communication
  • Familiarity with evidence-based special education strategies and individualized supports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Implement effective interventions for communication, social, and academic skills
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to develop and monitor IEPs
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for children with diverse needs
  • Utilize and model the use of AAC and other assistive technologies
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and goals
