Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and a flexible school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans relating to hearing impairment
- Provide direct and consultative audiology services to students and staff
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer training and resources to staff and families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and use of assistive technology
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and student evaluations as needed
