Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state audiology license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Prior experience working in educational settings highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students of varying ages and needs
- Interpret test results and develop individualized recommendations for support and intervention
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure optimal learning environments
- Provide direct services such as auditory training, hearing aid management, and classroom accommodations
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Offer staff in-service and training on hearing-related topics as needed
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings, contributing valuable insight on student needs
