As an Audiologist in this position, youll be working closely with students, faculty, and support staff to deliver essential auditory assessments and interventions. Your professional insights will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers and succeed in their school environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state Audiologist license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with educational audiology practices, including hearing screenings and assistive technology
- Superior communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and providing reliable documentation
- Ability to create individualized recommendations for classroom accommodations
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct auditory testing and assessments for students, providing timely and thorough evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to interpret assessment results and recommend interventions
- Support the implementation and maintenance of hearing assistive technology
- Offer in-service training and consultation to school staff regarding students auditory needs
- Document all services and recommendations in compliance with school regulations and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning for students with hearing needs
- Work with a flexible caseload; details will be provided upon assignment
