As a contracted professional, you will collaborate with educators and support staff to shape the best learning environment for students with hearing needs. You will be valued for your clinical expertise and problem-solving approach, participating as an essential member of the educational team.
Qualifications:
- Current license to practice Audiology in the state
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and consultative skills for interaction with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of hearing assistive technology and device troubleshooting
What youll do:
- Conduct hearing assessments and evaluations for students referred by school staff or parents
- Interpret test results and develop individualized recommendations to optimize access to instruction
- Provide input for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate in eligibility meetings
- Deliver support, training, and resources to faculty and families on classroom accommodations and hearing devices
- Monitor and maintain equipment, assist with fitting, and ensure consistent student access to the curriculum
- Travel between assigned campuses within the district as needed
