Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-A) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families from diverse backgrounds
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with hearing impairments
- Fit and manage hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices as needed
- Provide training and support to staff and families on hearing-related accommodations in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Collaborate regularly with special education teams to support IEP development and student progress
