Job Description

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as an Audiologist in the state
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric audiology strongly preferred
  • Proficient with hearing assessments, auditory processing evaluations, and hearing aid fitting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
  • Strong advocacy skills and ability to educate staff on hearing loss and classroom adaptations

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings, diagnostic assessments, and auditory processing tests for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and special education teams to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Fit, program, and manage hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive listening devices
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
  • Offer counseling and education to students and families regarding hearing health and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant federal, state, and district reporting requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development
