Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure in Audiology (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric audiology, including use of diagnostic equipment and hearing aid technology
- Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and providing direct/indirect services in a school environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, comprehensive auditory evaluations, and assessments for students
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning outcomes
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals related to hearing and auditory processing
- Recommend, fit, and adjust assistive listening devices, hearing aids, and FM systems for students as needed
- Provide consultative support, teacher/staff training, and family education on hearing loss and classroom strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, evaluations, and student progress
