Job Description

Support students in need of specialized hearing services as a traveling school audiologist on a contract assignment near Starkville, MS. This opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals to make a meaningful impact on student learning and communication success.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure as an audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Prior experience working in educational settings is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of hearing screening protocols, assistive technology, and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing evaluations and screenings for students as referred by school personnel
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and interventions
  • Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contributing expertise for students with auditory needs
  • Provide staff and family education regarding hearing loss, devices, and classroom strategies
  • Manage and monitor hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive devices
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required by school and district policies
