Job Description

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Valid Audiologist credential/license for South Carolina
  • Prior experience in educational or pediatric audiology preferred
  • Proficient in conducting hearing screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with school staff and families
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer comprehensive audiological assessments to students as referred
  • Interpret and communicate results to students, parents, and education teams
  • Recommend interventions, accommodations, and assistive technology as needed
  • Provide direct support and counseling to students with hearing impairments
  • Consult with teachers and staff regarding best practices for classroom accommodations
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and applicable laws
