Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students as an educational audiologist supporting childrens learning and communication needs. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated special education team and address auditory challenges for students across various grade levels.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure for audiology practice (or in process)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of hearing assessment tools and assistive technology
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, screenings, and assessments
- Interpret test results and deliver clear, informative reports for parents and educational staff
- Recommend and manage hearing assistive technology and classroom accommodations
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each students needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success
- Provide training to staff on hearing loss awareness, amplification devices, and classroom strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert input and documentation
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district protocols concerning audiology services
