Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students as an educational audiologist supporting childrens learning and communication needs. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated special education team and address auditory challenges for students across various grade levels.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure for audiology practice (or in process)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of hearing assessment tools and assistive technology
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, screenings, and assessments
  • Interpret test results and deliver clear, informative reports for parents and educational staff
  • Recommend and manage hearing assistive technology and classroom accommodations
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each students needs
  • Consult regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success
  • Provide training to staff on hearing loss awareness, amplification devices, and classroom strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert input and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district protocols concerning audiology services
