Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Audiologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through ASHA preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
- Comprehensive knowledge of hearing assessment tools and assistive listening devices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students
- Interpret results and develop individualized intervention plans to address identified needs
- Fit, program, and monitor hearing aids and assistive listening technology
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to facilitate appropriate accommodations and support
- Offer in-service training to staff on hearing health and assistive technology use
- Ensure timely and effective communication regarding students progress and needs
