Job Description

Help shape the communication abilities and well-being of students as a dedicated Audiologist in an educational setting near Seattle, WA. This contract opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise to make a meaningful impact, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support childrens hearing health and enhance their learning experiences.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active license to practice Audiology in Washington State
  • Experience working as an Audiologist in schools or similar pediatric environments
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive audiological assessments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation
  • Passion for supporting diverse student populations and tailoring interventions to their needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations for students of varying ages
  • Interpret results and provide expert recommendations for interventions or accommodations
  • Work closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to develop and implement IEPs
  • Monitor and manage assistive listening devices (such as hearing aids and FM systems) in the school setting
  • Provide counseling and resources for students with hearing loss and their caregivers
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging technology in educational audiology
