Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced audiologist to provide specialized services within a school environment in the San Antonio, TX area. This role involves working primarily on-site with students in a school setting and supporting districtwide needs.

Location: San Antonio, TX Area
Placement: School-based, primarily Mission Academy with additional troubleshooting sessions across the district
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week, 2 days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays preferred)
Contract Duration: Immediate start through May 29, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive audiological services to students including hearing assessments and fitting/repair of hearing aids
  • Collaborate with itinerant teachers for districtwide support sessions
  • Manage caseload primarily consisting of school-age children, with specific assignment details to be determined
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant licensing, certification, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Audiology required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in school settings or equivalent
  • ASHA certification (waiver granted for ASHA certified individuals)
  • State license to practice audiology and to fit/repair hearing aids
  • Successful passage of required audiology examinations
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in educational environments preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to undergo fingerprinting and background checks as per credentialing standards
  • Availability for an internal prescreen interview with flexible scheduling options
