Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as an Audiologist (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric audiology preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation a plus
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams, students, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students, including screenings and diagnostic evaluations
- Interpret test results and provide recommendations for educational accommodations and support
- Develop and implement auditory management plans tailored to students unique needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, related service providers, and parents/guardians to advocate for each student's success
- Support IEP and 504 plan development with relevant audiological information and strategies
- Provide training and consultation to staff regarding hearing impairment awareness and equipment (i.e., FM systems, hearing aids)
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and compliance regulations for audiological services in school settings
