Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure in Audiology (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience in educational or pediatric audiology preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to various learning environments and student needs
- Compassionate approach towards working with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized audiological intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families to support academic success
- Recommend, fit, and manage assistive listening devices and amplification technology
- Provide consultation, training, and resources for school personnel regarding hearing loss and classroom accommodations
- Maintain documentation and adhere to ethical practices and school district policies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as an integral part of the team
