Job Description

A school-based audiologist position is available to provide specialized hearing services within a dynamic educational setting in the San Antonio, TX area. This role supports students primarily at one main location with additional districtwide service opportunities, working closely with itinerant teachers to address diverse hearing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing assessments and fit hearing aids for students.
  • Provide audiological support and troubleshooting throughout the school district.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement individualized hearing programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Audiology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in school settings or equivalent.
  • ASHA certification and relevant state licenses to practice audiology and fit/repair hearing aids.
  • Successful completion of required exams and background checks.
  • Waiver available for those holding ASHA certification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Approximately 15 hours weekly, ideally scheduled over two days (Wednesdays and Thursdays preferred).
  • Primarily based at one school with travel as needed for district services.
  • Contract position with an immediate start through late May 2026.
