Ideal Background:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with educational audiology practices, including hearing assessments, FM/DM systems, and classroom amplification
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized support plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological evaluations for students
- Recommend, fit, and troubleshoot hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and FM/DM systems
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to address classroom accommodations and student needs
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) reports and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver training and resources to staff regarding hearing loss and device use
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
