Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with pediatric audiological evaluation and intervention
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations for students of varying ages
- Make recommendations regarding amplification devices, classroom accommodations, and therapy as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other educational staff to facilitate optimal student learning
- Document and report findings to parents and school personnel in a clear, supportive manner
- Participate in the creation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide guidance on hearing conservation practices within the educational setting
