Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid license to practice as an Audiologist
- Experience with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Skilled in conducting hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and fitting assistive listening devices
- Knowledgeable in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) relating to audiology services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt assessment and intervention strategies to diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive hearing assessments for students, ensuring early identification of hearing challenges
- Develop recommendations and strategies for classroom accommodations and interventions
- Provide direct support and training to teachers and staff on assistive listening devices and classroom acoustics
- Document assessments, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Consult with parents and staff to facilitate understanding and support for students auditory needs
- Stay informed about advances in audiology and school-based practices
