This unique opportunity allows you to work closely with a diverse student population, providing essential audiological services that help pave the way for educational success.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid and current state audiology license or eligibility
- Prior experience working with children or in school environments preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Strong communication skills and an ability to consult with educators and parents
- Comfort with comprehensive hearing assessments and a wide range of audiological services
- Ability to collaborate and adapt within dynamic school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audiological evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic tests for students
- Interpret results and provide recommendations to support students educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor hearing-related interventions and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure appropriate services
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs by providing expert input
- Educate school personnel and caregivers regarding hearing loss and related technologies
