Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as an Audiologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse students, teachers, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and diagnostic assessments for students
- Interpret audiological test results and provide recommendations for educational planning
- Fit, program, and monitor the use of hearing aids, FM/DM systems, and assistive listening devices
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families on strategies to support students access to curriculum
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations
- Maintain meticulous records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Deliver in-services and professional development workshops on hearing health and classroom modifications
