Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Recent experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based or educational setting
  • Skilled in conducting audiological evaluations and interpreting results for individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and family engagement
  • Organized, detail-oriented with flexible problem-solving abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students as part of initial and triennial evaluations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessment results and develop IEPs
  • Provide audiological intervention services, including recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive listening devices
  • Counsel families and staff on hearing loss implications and auditory health
  • Document all evaluations, services, and progress in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input to support academic access
