Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA certification (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience with pediatric and/or school populations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and amplification systems
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) related to auditory needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological assessments
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations tailored to each students educational needs
  • Fit and manage assistive listening devices (e.g., hearing aids, FM/DM systems)
  • Consult with teachers, school staff, and families regarding effective auditory strategies
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and document progress
  • Provide training on classroom amplification and hearing loss accommodations
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and professional standards
