Key Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate licensure for school-based practice
  • Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special educators, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to evidence-based assessment, intervention, and documentation practices

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students in accordance with school guidelines
  • Interpret results and make recommendations for accommodations or assistive technology
  • Consult with teachers and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as appropriate
  • Provide direct and indirect audiology services and assist with auditory training or amplification device troubleshooting
  • Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Present hearing health education to students and staff to promote awareness and prevention
