Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate licensure for school-based practice
- Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special educators, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to evidence-based assessment, intervention, and documentation practices
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and screenings for students in accordance with school guidelines
- Interpret results and make recommendations for accommodations or assistive technology
- Consult with teachers and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as appropriate
- Provide direct and indirect audiology services and assist with auditory training or amplification device troubleshooting
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Present hearing health education to students and staff to promote awareness and prevention
