Make a meaningful impact as a contract audiologist working with school-aged students in a supportive educational environment! In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with school staff and families to support students hearing needs, playing a vital part in shaping their academic journey.
Bring your expertise in audiology to assess, diagnose, and recommend strategies that foster success in the classroom. You'll contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and communication strategies, partnering with other professionals passionate about student achievement.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an audiologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within school settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and federal/state educational guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing evaluations and screenings for students
- Diagnose auditory disorders and recommend interventions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies for student success
- Provide direct and consultative services for students with hearing-related needs
- Maintain comprehensive, timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Offer training and education to staff and families on hearing loss and assistive devices
- Support IEP development and attend necessary meetings
