Step into a pivotal role as an Educational Audiologist, providing short-term coverage at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you'll make a meaningful impact supporting students across 13 public school districts near Cambridge, MN. As a valued specialist, you'll ensure students receive the audiological services necessary for academic achievement and overall well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Audiologist in the state of Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of hearing assessment tools, assistive listening technologies, and educational accommodations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary educational teams
- Ability to manage a flexible, mobile caseload across multiple school sites
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and student diversity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, and auditory processing assessments for students
- Recommend and coordinate fitting, monitoring, and troubleshooting of hearing aids, FM systems, and assistive listening devices
- Provide ongoing consultation to teachers, school staff, and parents regarding classroom accommodations and strategies to support student learning
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Offer in-service training and professional development as needed on audiological issues and best practices
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
