Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an Audiologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within school environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in assessment tools, assistive listening devices, and intervention strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings and comprehensive audiological assessments for students
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings clearly to teachers, staff, and parents
  • Make recommendations for classroom accommodations, amplification devices, or interventions to support student access and achievement
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and consultative audiology services in accordance with student needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school, state, and federal guidelines
  • Educate staff and students about hearing loss prevention and effective classroom communication techniques
