This contract opportunity invites you to collaborate with faculty, students, and families to foster optimal listening and learning environments for young learners who benefit from specialized auditory support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with children or in school settings preferred
- Competence in conducting comprehensive auditory evaluations and managing hearing devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and follow-ups for students
- Interpret results and recommend appropriate interventions or accommodations
- Fit, adjust, and monitor hearing aids or other assistive listening devices
- Provide in-service training, resources, and consultative support for teachers and staff
- Maintain accurate and compliant records, and contribute to the development of IEPs or 504 plans
- Serve as an expert resource for both school professionals and families to ensure accessible learning
