What we're seeking:
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to perform comprehensive audiological assessments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and school teams
- Proficiency in the use and programming of hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive technology
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education processes is an asset
- Commitment to maintaining confidential records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
What you'll be doing:
- Conduct hearing screenings and evaluations for students of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Provide input and recommendations for student IEPs related to hearing and communication support
- Consult with teachers, parents, and related service providers to optimize the learning environment for students with hearing loss
- Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Offer in-service training to staff on hearing impairment awareness and classroom strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
