Job Description
Make a meaningful difference supporting students communication and learning needs as a School Audiologist on a contract basis. This opportunity, located near McConnell AFB, KS, invites skilled professionals to partner with dedicated educational teams and help students maximize their potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an audiologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within schools
- Strong knowledge of hearing screening tools, FM/DM technology, and assistive listening devices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other professionals
- Ability to provide comprehensive assessments, intervention, and consultation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for students, including auditory processing and screenings
- Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids, assistive devices, and classroom accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and IEP teams to develop support strategies
- Provide guidance and training to staff and families regarding hearing loss and listening devices
- Ensure timely documentation of assessments, recommendations, and interventions in compliance with school policies
- Monitor ongoing progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
- Consult on room acoustics, noise management, and inclusive learning environments
