This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are dedicated to supporting learners of all ages through expert auditory care and collaborative intervention.
In this role, you will utilize your clinical skills to identify, assess, and provide solutions for students with hearing challenges, working in partnership with educators and families to optimize learning outcomes. You'll consult on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), perform screenings, and recommend adaptive technologies or classroom strategies to foster inclusion and academic success.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid State Audiologist license and ASHA CCC-A certification
- Experience conducting audiological assessments for children or adolescents
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Ability to educate staff and families regarding hearing loss and related accommodations
- Organized, flexible, and able to manage a diverse caseload independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret hearing evaluations and screenings
- Develop audiological profiles and recommend appropriate interventions
- Provide direct and consultative services, including classroom accommodations
- Support IEP teams with expertise and assist in compliance documentation
- Train school staff in the use of hearing aids, FM systems, and assistive technology
- Engage in outreach to build awareness of hearing health within the school community
