Job Description

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is beneficial
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and families
  • Proficiency in conducting a variety of hearing assessments and managing audiological equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students hearing abilities using standardized testing procedures
  • Interpret assessment results, document findings, and make recommendations for educational accommodations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and 504 plans
  • Fit, monitor, and troubleshoot amplification devices such as hearing aids or FM systems
  • Provide auditory training, counseling, and ongoing support to students and their families
  • Deliver staff training on hearing loss and effective classroom strategies
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
